Currently, the social worker, besides providing his services in the activities related to social assistance, education and health, may also volunteer in the following activities:
Beneficente Breakfast
- an event promoted on the first Sunday of the month, on festive days, from 7:20 am, with the purpose of raising funds for the maintenance of the social assistance projects developed by the Institution. After doctrine, the Café continues with its menu containing delicious items such as breads, applesauce, sweet potatoes, cakes, couscous, fruits, porridge, yogurts, juices, cheese, turkey blanquet, among other items.
Raio de Sol Choir
- strengthens the integration, promotes well-being in contact with music and spread the musical culture. The experience of participating in the Choir reinforces aspects such as self-esteem, trust and teamwork. Essays scheduled for every Friday, 7pm (open to new entries).
Event Team
- organizes, manages and administers all institutional events, which can be part of the calendar of the House, either fixed or occasional (themed dinners, Christmas fraternity of assisted communities, festivals of pies, festivities June, among others). The Team meets every Wednesday at 7pm.
Cidade da Luz’s Beneficent Feijoada
- the traditional Feijoada happens every first Sunday of the month. Another working front that aims to raise funds for the institution's welfare projects.
